Today it is wet and cloudy. It rained quite a bit last night, and it is still raining here. Hurray!

How is your weather today?

Rain, rain, and more rain. Warp is not happy.

(I can't say that I'm entirely happy either, as I have to go to an appointment later this afternoon. But I am grateful for the rain. Thumbs up )

Snow, freezing rain, overnight; then this morning rising temperatures & sloppy slush.
At least the birds are happy & well fed.

The red flag marks the beginning of a row of irises & lilies. To the right of the finch feeder
is a garden of SDB irises. Should be visible when the snow melts. (and look much better)

Lovely pic, Leon! Happy to see the finches well fed! (I love birds, but I can't have bird feeders here because of the high rat population.)

Nice photo! Thumbs up

Over and inch of rain since last night and it's still lightly raining. The heavier part of the storm comes later today and into the night.

I just found out that they screwed up my appointment, so I don't have to go out today! Big Grin I can sit inside and do indoor gardening.

Hopefully it will be dry, or only light drizzle, when I go tomorrow.

A lovely light rain most of the morning, intensifying now. Drenching rain predicted through tomorrow. About 50 degrees. Can't complain at all! Binge-watching "The Crown" and listening to rain on the roof.

It's been raining since last night, off and on. Now it has been raining steadily for quite a while now. Since CA needs the rain, I will try not to complain when I go to town tomorrow. Maybe it will stop for a while. We have been needing this for some time. Hurray!

I got soaked out there placing sandbags and setting up the pumps. I've got the flash lights ready, the chain saw tuned up and some firewood stacked in the garage. I'm all prepared for tonight's storm. Crossing Fingers!

Temps are just below freeing so we are getting a mix of snow and freezing rain on top of about two inches of snow. The deer herd have been tromping through the garden on the hill, but don't seem to be doing any damage. Plants look quite happy with their white cover.

Hope the rains in CA don't cause too much trouble!

Au contraire, Pam! We weren't getting any rain for about 2 months, and we were worried about drought again, so it's great to see the rain!

Of course, there could aways be trouble... Blinking depending on where you live in CA...such a big state.

Sort of like Pam's weather here. A mess on some roads with heavy sleet prior to a little snow, all while under the freezing mark. Tom'w a "heat wave" of temp in high 30's so maybe total melt of what has been here for some time plus the new stuff. Higher temp later in week.
The irises have not had a good cover so sat out in the subfreezing temps for weeks. A real test of hardiness.
Glad CA drought is somewhat eased, but too much too fast or in wrong areas is not good either.

It was a beautiful day of January thaw with temps just above freezing. We don't have a lot of snow cover, and about half of it melted today. As much as I liked the weather today, I guess it would be better if the snow didn't melt, but what can I do. We are supposed to get rain on Thursday, and then later get beck to nasty cold temperatures.

Our day started out with freezing rain but the temperature started going up so it was just plain rain by late morning. We are to have temps in the 60s by Thursday after three days of rain. Foggy tonight and not too cold. Then for the weekend we are back down in the deep freeze. We have not been above freezing since the day before Christmas until today.
