Our 2nd raffle of the year has begun, and it's a big one! New companies, new prizes, and lots of them! Get out your bag of acorns and dive in.

I love the friendliness and sharing on this site and since I've been adding plant information as well as a few photos to our database lately, I've earned lots of acorns and would like to join the fun and share some of my acorns with new members.

The next 5 NEW members ( those who've joined since January 1st, 2018 ) who post below, will each receive 25 acorns from my stash! There are no requirements as to how you must use them. You can purchase a few raffle tickets, purchase badges for your profile page, give them away or save them for a rainy day ... or save them for next for month's not-a-raffle-raffle!

*** Important note if you purchase raffle tickets: the not-a raffle-raffle- prizes are all only available to members in the United States. I'm really sorry for those in other countries, but the complications and expense of shipping things to other countries is just too difficult and costly to arrange with the various companies. For this reason, we have made the decision to limit the contest to United States winners only. If you are outside the US, you can still participate, but if you win you will need to gift the prize to another member of your choice.

Oh how exciting! It is raffle time again. How joyous is that?

I have won acorns twice and I am using them to buy tickets. 30 tickets are now mine and there are just some fabulous prizes there, many of which will be great for my new home in Michigan!!

Thanks again Dave and staff for working so hard to organize another raffle. The tireless work that you all do at NGA is so appreciated!.

FYI, y'all. I won 3 NARRs (in a row, no less) and I don't think I ever bought more than 10 or 11 tickets each time. I think for the March NARR I went big time and bought 14 but didn't win. My theory is that it only takes one ticket to win. Just saying. Certainly don't want to debate my theory with a mathematician. 😝

So anyway, get acorns, 'buy' tickets, and have a lot of fun!

Lin -- I love being able to toss acorns at people even if I can only do one at a time. Must be my inner squirrel. (My older brothers did always accuse me of being squirrelly.)
