My home page has changed LOTS since yesterday....................what happened???? The forums lists are all different, and they are not showing up when I scroll down from where it shows the threads I am watching that have activity............I have to click on the "see all forums" link...............

Did you click a "watch this forum" link by any chance?

Do you have this on your home page, "You are watching (a number) of our 102 forums [ " view them all" ]" ?

The forums were all listed, now they are not unless I click on "view them all". And they are no longer 1 alphabetized list, they are divided into "sub-lists", if you will...............*sigh*..........something I suppose I'll just have to deal with, but the way they were listed before was very user-friendly, at least to me.

Did you customize your home page and save your changes? I messed mine up once when I spent a lot of time arranging things to my liking and then forgot to save the changes.

I have not messed with my home page. It was fine early this morning and now this afternoon it is not the way it was. Oh, well................just have to live with it, I guess. I abhor change.

LOL, I know what you mean; I don't like change either! A few months ago my husband updated the operating system on my laptop and it threw things out of whack from the way I was used to seeing them ... so aggravating! I still don't like it.

Changing for the sake of changing sometimes is not necessary. I mean, I'd LOVE a Ferrari because it would go faster than my Mini Cooper, but it's not necessary.

I don't like speed, so a Model T Ford would be more to my liking ... well, never mind, that wouldn't work because it wouldn't have AC.

Anna, I just checked my home page and it is acting as normal. I watch 6 forums, and have my home page set to show me all new activity in any of the forums, as well as any thread I've actually participated in. The new activity list usually shows me about 10 recent threads, and I can scroll for additional ones, although I rarely do. I just glance through and see if anything catches my eye in forums I am not usually active in. Sounds like you might have a glitch.

One time I accidentally clicked the "watch this forum" link that's in the right sidebar of the forum pages. I was just navigating around the page and accidentally clicked it. I momentarily freaked when all but that one forum disappeared from my home page. I quickly figured out the issue and "unwatched" that forum.

Danita, I think you should edit how your home page is set up. I am able to show 'Updated Threads' I have either marked to watch or have responded to; 'Watched Forums' for the relatively few I do want to watch; and 'Recent Threads' which lists anything that has been posted in any forum. As noted above, that box initially shows about 10 recent threads, but if I want to I can scroll down and see more. It took me a couple stabs of trial/error to get my home page set to my liking, but now it works well for my needs.

Deb, I have all of those, too, with the exception of watched forums (since I don't watch any).

I like to have the complete list of forums on my home page. This is the full forum list that is ordered by activity and not by category.

If you "watch" a forum/forums then that full forum list on the home page is reduced to only your watched forum/forums.

Is your complete forum list different than the 'Recent Activity' list? That is what is confusing me.

I'm watching 20 out of 102 Forums. I don't see anything that says "See All Forums." The only way I can find All of the available Forums is under the Community tab at the top of the page. I also don't see anything that says "Recent Activity List".

My home page says "There is 1 updated thread in your Thread Watcher" and below that it gives me the list of the 20 Forums that I'm watching.

Lin, I just opened my home page and the actual wording is 'Recent Threads' - this will show me anything new from any forum - plant specific to regional and on down to the sandbox. I also watch 6 forums that would show up in the 'Recent Threads' IF the new activity is in the top 10 that shows in that box. Since I rarely scroll further than the most recent 10 that shows in the box, I like to see if any of my favorite forums have a red balloon. Kind of a double-up.

I have my home page customized to display the "watched forums" box, but I don't actually have any watched forums. In this situation, the system defaults to showing ALL of the forums and they are listed in order of most recent activity.

Huh, never tried it that way. I've messed around with the home page quite a bit, adding and deleting things, moving them around. So, even if a forum has not had any recent activity (e.g. Garden of Memories Forum's most recent post was 10-3-17), it will show up in last place on your list of Watched Forums? Maybe I'll try messing around yet again, although I'm now so accustomed to my home page I'd likely just frustrate myself for no particular reason.

Yes, Deb, the bottom of the list has "British Gardening" and then "Garden of Memories" in the last place.

I have varied interests so I just like to know what forums are active all around the site.

It does create a loooong home page, though!

Where it says "Our 103 forums" is where the "watched forums" box was dragged and dropped. (Please note, I am a moderator so I see an extra forum. Most people will only see 102 forums.)

I can't seem to explain just how this changed today. The forums are all categorized and they never were before, they were all in one long list. They are not like that for whatever reason. Never mind.........I'm sorry I brought it up.
