That's a magnificent collection! I attach all but one in my simple collection - not grand by any means.

Dinu, those are really beautiful! I love the orange one against the terra cotta wall! The lighting is perfect, the colors are gorgeaous. Very lovely photos!

They are: bletilla, spathoglottis, and an epidendrum with a seed pod (which are practically weeds in Florida USA).
Dinu, so glad to see you here!! I've missed you! How wonderful that you grow these lovelies! And so well!!

Simple is sometime better, Dinu. I agree with Nancy, the lighting on the Epi. makes a fantastic pic.

Wow, Ursula! So delighted to see you here also. Those are good signs!

Thanks friends. Ah, yes.... I must make more frequent peep-ins into this place to get the actual feel of it!

boojum, thanks for naming the first orchid. I had posted it on the id forum on DG last year but it did not yield much. Now I'll look for it for more details. It comes in January only.

Regarding that Epidendrum picture, there was that morning sun helping me. The wall also was a good b/g for it. There is another picture I'll post later. For now, here are two pictures - the earliest I have taken of these Epidendrum from a camera I used to borrow occasionally from a friend - it was a Sony Mavica 76 or something - that used to store pictures on a floppy! He was so kind to lend me the camera for a day. With that I could post pictures on DG. The E'drum has also a red variety which I show here. The spathoglottis also has a few shades.Thumb of 2011-03-02/Dinu/60dcc4

Dinu, I have made your own thread of the month so we can find it more easily! I hope you don't mind. You can see all the Forums on the home page when you scroll down. This thread is now in the Orchids of the Month Forum.

Dinu, there is also a "What else do you grow" forum. It would be interesting to see what you grow in Mysore. Are your Ixora and Plumerias blooming?

ctcarol,
No, both Ixora and Plumeria are not in bloom. Ixora is still growing from a new offshoot. Hope you know what all had happened to my garden in the last 2-3 years. May be next year the Plumeria will show more flowers. They are in a new place now.

boojum,
Thanks for what you have done to that.

Two more shots I'd like to show of those same Epidendrums. Different angle sunlight! One more old picture of a spathoglottis - this is light pink. Hope it is still in the pot. Have to repot those spathoglottises.

Dinu, yes, I followed your adventures on DG, and have wondered how things are working out for you. My Ixoras are both budding, and I also have an orange and a red Epi. The Epis bloom year round in my zone. I'm always interested in what grows, when, in other parts of the world, and how people live.

I must make it a point to visit regularly from now on. Lots of things have happened in my Yarden. I've started a separate blog wherein I've tried to keep myself a sort of a journal. I must share what I do also here. In the meanwhile, here is my Yarden blog. http://dinusyarden.blogspot.co...
Bye for now.
