Something weird is going on. Sherry, on the Pacific coast forum said she was having issues with Google. She is back on , but had to change her user name , and now is a new member. wcgypsy is now wcgypsy45 so it may be something with Google.

It may be an issue do to the equipment being moved from one location to another but @Dave should know about it.

LOL, I don't think I'll log out just in case ... I don't want to have to sign up as a new member! Green Grin!

The few users who have had account troubles all were logged out for some reason or another (almost certainly because of the server move) and then unable to log back in (forgotten passwords or passwords didn't work). The server move resulted in a change in IP address and Dave commented in another thread that he was in the processing of getting that IP address removed from spam blacklists. Unfortunately this has meant that for a while, clicking the "Forgot password" link to get a new password (and hence recover your account) didn't work, as the user did not receive an email.

Moral of the story is to not lose your password. Don't rely on your browser not logging you out; the cookie that keeps your login info WILL expire eventually and you will be prompted to log back in.

I still don't follow what the issue is/was here. I've never noticed Deb being obscure in her posts before. They are usually very straightforward, but I'm lost as to what this one is about.

I haven't noticed anything different at all on my use of NGA.

Maybe Deb is referring to the NGA logo at the top left of the page, just left of the banner?

NATIONAL
GARDENING
ASSOCIATION

It looks a little larger maybe with the upper case lettering ... but very nice in my opinion, not loud at all.

I had my screen set at a higher zoom for use in another program, and it just caught me off guard. Sorry for the confusion. I usually just look at the banner itself but the giant letters got the best of me I guess. I've dialed down the zoom and all is well again.

I find that most (all?) of my computer problems are operator error. My comment about disassociating was more of a word play. As noted in previous threads (no need to re-hash), I'm not a fan of the current name, or even sure it it is The NGA or just NGA or perhaps Garden.org. Shrug. I keep it bookmarked as 'Plants'.

~ The name has only changed once since it was founded (before the internet) in 1971 as "Gardens For All". The National Gardening Association (NGA for short) has been around for a long while. www.garden.org is the web address.

Thanks Lin. I had never heard of NGA prior to the switch from ATP, but do understand it has been around for quite some time. Weirdly - my brain easily switches NGA with NRA and had a similar confusion of ATP with ATF. Maybe I don't do well with acronyms. 'Plants' works for me. Simple.
