Begonia tubers were started mid March this year.
Last year I began in February and they were too lanky by June and many broke off.
Now on April 1, a few less than half have sprouts.
Anthyllis montana was started as seeds on moist paper towels and then
pricked out to soil.
It was recommended to be grown as an annual here.
I have since found it listed in a book on Hardy Perennials written for Alberta.
They are also called "Lady Fingers".
It is a pea like plant which I hope to use in containers and in the rock garden.
