Have struggled so long with these beautiful plants. Have at last got it right. South/East side of house w/morning sun only, no all day sun.
Have grown quite a few from seeds. Sowed more seeds this year & already up. Now to keep up the tedious of keeping moist without drowning and molding. Post more seedlings later.
Going to try and do more on here this year. Last 4+ years have been more of a struggle w/life events. Mother's death, my stroke, hubby's benign brain tumor, back surgery, and retina trying to detach. All things with the Lord's help.
watching/waiting/hoping the little tiny tan/rose grows larger. Transplanted last year to this bigger pot of seedlings, very slowwww growing. More green than any other color, one smaller darker green in there, watching her also.
3 more seedlings
Tried coral bells from seed last year(late summer). Sowed in pot & covered with glass not quite as large as pot for air. Surprise they came up, teeny tiny little things. Didn't think they would make it through the winter, they did. Waiting to see what they turn out to look like. The ones that looked yellow/lime have changed, no more yellow/green. One seedling is blooming.

photo shoot with daughter. 59 degrees at Clingmans Dome on 7-15-15, strong cold wind, ouch to cold to hike. Went back up to Newfound Gap later that night during thunderstorm for her to try and capture shots of lightening, no luck that night, just nice rain and warm streaks. Went back to Clingmans on Wed. late, even colder, 56 deg. massive front of clouds moving across. No pics that evening. That is a strange feeling leaving sunshine below and head up into low hanging clouds and mist. Newfound Gap & Clingmans Dome are two of our favorite places. That's clouds down in the valley's, looks like snow.
