We have a fairly large family and this is a great gift that is well received. My father in-law is a Great Grandparent and he really enjoys having the birthday and anniversary days marked on the calendar including names, year and birthday age. He also likes the first and last names since most of the Great Grandkids are all around the same ages.
1. Buy a nice gardening calendar that your special someone would enjoy. Make sure there is lots of room on the individual days
2. Create labels that include the name, year and birthday age. Avery Clear 1-3/4" x 1/2" return address labels work well. The clear labels will look great on a decorative calendar.
3. Print off your label sheet and stick on the dates. Be sure to save the document for updates next year.
4. Add event stickers too. You may find these in the scrapbooking areas or kids party supplies.
On my calendar, I put a sticker of a rose for the monthly Rose Society meeting dates, a flower sticker for the local Garden Club, and mark the weeks from average last frost for seeding guidelines etc. Grampa's 2013 personalized "Tractor" calendar is on it's way for Christmas.
