Maybe you are looking for something different from the usual early spring blooms of crocus. Try the lovely bright blue blooms of Scilla sardensis.

With tiny blue flowers in early spring, Scilla sardensis will look lovely and come back repeatedly year after year. Easily grown from tiny bulbs planted in the fall, scillas do look best when massed together either in the flower garden or planted in the lawn.
