No room for a conventional veggie garden? Think outside the box. I put new garden beds in the lawn.

Years ago I grew my tomatoes in a large vegetable bed in my backyard, but over the years I gradually converted that space to flower beds. That left me with a problem. I could not give up my home-grown tomatoes, but where would I grow them? I solved this problem by adding new garden beds dedicated to my tomato plants. The only place left to put them was in the lawn between the driveway and house, so that is where they went!

The north side of my yard has three beds that I use to grow my tomatoes.
