Do you really want bugs/visitors in your garden?

In North Carolina, we've had white-tailed deer "visitors" coming over at any time of the day to nibble on daylily buds.

I have ramped up my homemade "bug-be-gone" spray to include the deer.

How much of each ingredient is up to you:
1- clear, liquid dish soap
2- salad oil (the spray will stay on plants longer with this added)
3- hot sauce (whatever kind you want)
4- water (fill to top of spray bottle with water)

I bought a large spray bottle from a home-improvement store. Small bottles didn't hold enough.

Spray in the evening; be sure undersides of leaves get a dose (because aphids love that area). This spray deters the deer because they do not like the spicy hot sauce.

It doesn't harm my ladybugs, bees, or butterflies.

Nibbled buds. The day before this, the plant was full of daylilies ready to bloom.
