Cut the plastic coffee or creamer container in half with a bandsaw or scissors. This way, you get twice as many pots. Use the lid of the container as the bottom and punch about 6 or 7 holes in both halves for drainage.
Fill with your favorite potting mix (I used a mixture of peat, perlite, and potting soil). Plant your seeds and use a black magic marker on the container to label what the seeds are. I planted my very first daylily seeds from pods I gathered last fall. I only know the pod parent, so I have no idea what I will get.
