The fragrance of the leaves is so delicious it has to be near a path or doorway. Best protected from severe frost, deciduous in zone 8a, late to leaf out. Needs pruning to prevent becoming leggy/spindly. Drought and heat and poor soil tolerant. Sprays of tiny whitish flowers on branch tips, would suit natural areas.
