| Onion (Allium cepa 'Mako') | On January 14, 2017 | Seeds sown I received some Mako onions seeds from a gardener in New Jersey that said these were his best keepers. I planted the seed in Sunshine mix #4 soil on 1-14-17. They germinated in two days, 1-16-17. I started gardening them off on the deck 2-27-17. I planted out in the garden 3-13-17. I have high hopes for these onions. |

My husband had grown very attached to the little start and encouraged me to put it in a pot. Well, here we are almost 7 years later and he still won’t let me compost it. |
