Have Trade as plant Trade as root Daylilies - Unregistered |
Kim Klarner's Seedling (Spuria on the LA) 39", 7.5", EM, Ext, Sev, Tet, 4 way branching, 26 buds Increases early and vigorously, by the second year! Be sure you have plenty of room for this beauty! I'll probably be dividing bi-annually, during even years, to keep the clump under control, so treemail me on even numbered years if you're interested in this beaut of a daylily. 🙂 |

Have Hosta |
18"-28" x 36"-48" Photo(s) from my garden. The foliage clumps matured to about 44 inches each in width and the scapes to 20 inches in height, which is about 5" taller than the birdbath. By 2021 they were swallowing up the birdbath in width and height! LOL They were simply too large for this small garden, hiding the garden edge by about 8 inches, and therefore hubby wasn't mowing up to the hidden garden border, so I would remove the lowest leaves to expose the brick garden border. Bees buzzed from flower scape to flower scape, right near my hands, when removing the birdbath bowl to clean and replace it to fill with fresh water, I respected their space, and waited until the coast was mostly clear to carry on, but after two years of putting up with that, I transplanted the three clumps elsewhere with more room for their size, in Spring of 2023. Two went to the back tree garden in the NE corner. They were almost too big to get in the wheelbarrow by myself, but I managed. Probably not the wisest thing to tackle since my back was injured in 2021 and hasn't been the same ever since so it complains when I do even light work, but I "took one for the team"! LOL I should take stock in Ibuprofin! LOLOL I transplanted the third, and largest clump, to behind the garage. I enlisted hubby's help to move that huge clump, and even the two of us had trouble! Fortunately, it traveled only about a 46" to the right!! I guess age really does catch up to us!! LOL I later ordered and planted 4 new dwarf hosta, 'Autumn Fiesta' around the birdbath that can handle being in the sun. |

Diamond Grass (Calamagrostis brachyathera) |
Have Ornamental Grasses |
2017 Not filling out. May hit the boneyard.. 2018 Did better than last year. Hard downpours smashed it down, though. 2020: Did not fill out very well. I'll see how it does next year. 2021: Filled out nicely!! Mom moved to Independent Living and it's still kept us about as busy as before she moved there. I fell this year before Mom's move and wound up with a herniated disc. so that wasn't helping matters. Basically gardening stopped with Mom's move. 2022: Looking decent. Border is collapsing even more, but it's hanging in there. Life has gotten in the way to overshadow any work in the gardens. 2023: Still haven't fixed the border, but still hanging in. Just too busy with the new Etsy shop, fighting my depression, and visiting Mom. March 2024: Dreaming for the third year to fix that pathway border. LOLOL Update on how this specimen is doing to come later. |
April 1, 2015: Maintenance performed (Moved to split in path. Second specimen located at the end of the pathway. NE corner of the kennel.) April 17, 2017: Obtained plant (Obtained from Springhill Nurseries) June 4, 2017: Miscellaneous Event (Both specimens not filling out at all. May be headed for the boneyard!) |

(8) Specimens. (5) in the E Porch Garden & (3) in NE tree garden. 2023: the five specimens were not thriving due to very dry soil. I took the ones that were still alive and transplanted them, in the NE tree garden. I combined some clumps in one hole. I did the same thing with the surviving clumps by the tree, but transplanted them elsewhere in the tree garden, before adding all the hosta there. 3/3/2024:Hoping the transplants will survive the winter. LOL |

Clematis 'Nelly Moser' |
Have Vines and Climbers |
Grp. 2 - Optional light pruning after flowering. 2015 One new specimen. No blooms. 2016...just couldn't survive the drought (or so I thought!). 9.2016....rose from the dead like a phoenix! Moved to northeast corner of garage. Struggled a bit, and grew, but no blooms this year. 4.2017...got some nice sprouting going on. Read that Nelly takes a few years to grow to full size. Gotta be patient. 5.2017 moved to NE corner of garage garden by birdbath. Not very tall yet, but FFO!! Yay! 5.2018 Sweet spot! It's grown fuller, and bloomed prolifically this year! Thriving! 2021: Bloomed beautifully!! 2022: Did not bloom much. 2023: Spring, had to cut back drastically to dig and transplant the three hosta around the birdbath. Made sure to leave several leaf buds. |

Clematis 'Niobe' |
Have Vines and Climbers |
Group 2 - Optional light pruning after flowering. 2016 - Three new specimens. All three bloomed and rebloomed! 4.2017...nice sprouting on all three specimens! Spring 2018 - NW corner specimen died out. Spring 2020 - NE corner specimen died out. SE corner specimen barely hanging on. 2021: NE corner grew so well, then it died back again. I suspect Jerkwaad's dog has peed on it. :grumble: SE corner died back. I didn't dig the roots up. Life got in the way. 2022: Didn't pay attention bc life got in the way. 2023: noticed that it's coming back from the dead! LOL I tied it to the kennel and it flowered but didn't grow much taller than 24". Oh wait, life got in the way, and I noticed that it was growing along the ground, so it probably grew to about 48". |
