February 20, 2023: Fruit Ripened (There is one fruit on one of the plants that is starting to turn colors. It's not quite ripe yet but will be in another day or two. That makes a fruiting 61 days after germination, and 46 days after transplant.) March 12, 2023: Harvested (For several days I have been harvesting ripe fruits and today I filled a quart jar with the pulp/seeds for fermentation.) January 15, 2023: Obtained plant (Got the seeds from Mike. They've been in cryo storage for almost 20 years. Looking forward to growing this one out, and re-introducing it to the world.) January 22, 2023: Plant emerged (Seedlings finally emerged.) February 2, 2023: Transplanted (Potted these out of their little grow bed into individual 4x4 cells. There are 8 plants total.) February 25, 2023: Potted up (Moved them into 4" pots.) March 1, 2023: Bloomed (First blooms appeared today.) April 7, 2023: Fruit Ripened (A few nice deep red fruits on the plants.) March 6, 2024: Fruit Ripened (Several nice red ripe fruits on one of the plants.) March 21, 2024: Harvested (Finally harvested ripe fruit today, about 20 of them. I could have harvested earlier but I was out of town until today.) March 28, 2024: Maintenance performed (Crushed about 50 fruits into a jar for fermenting.) April 1, 2024: Maintenance performed (Fermentation complete today. Rinsed the seeds and set them to dry.) April 8, 2024: Fruit Ripened (Got about 100 fruits in the 2nd harvest. Excellent producer this one! Crushed them all and filled a half gallon jar half way.) April 12, 2024: Plant Ended (Removed, Died, Discarded, etc) (It was a good run.) |

I'm using brand new store bought seed starting mix and watering with aged water. Very lightly fertilizing once a week. Will continue to monitor health.) February 7, 2024: Seeds sown (Did heat treatment (20 minutes @ 124 degrees F) and then sowed. 8 seeds total into boughten seed starting mix.) February 7, 2024: Seeds sown (I also sowed 8 seeds of Elijah's batch that he sent us recently. Sowed 4 cells with 2 seeds per cell.) February 9, 2024: Potted up (I took one of my first seedlings (that are looking sickly) and potted it up into a 4" pot with pure coco coir. Looking forward to seeing what this one does compared to the ones that remain in seed starting mix.) February 9, 2024: Seeds sown (I sowed 8 more seeds today from Elijah's lot into coco coir.) February 11, 2024: Seeds germinated (I have sprouts on the HT and Elijah's Feb 7th seeds.) February 13, 2024: Potted up (I potted up Elijah's Feb 7th and the HT seedlings into 4" pots, as well as all remaining Mike RP's. The potting soil is coco coir with perlite and vermiculite. I then watered them with seaweed extract.) March 6, 2024: Transplanted (I finally transplanted into the garden 15 of these plants. They are small, but healthy.) March 21, 2023: Fruit Ripened (One of the plants has about 5 ripe fruit on it. The rest are being a bit slower.) April 1, 2023: Fruit Ripened (As of today I have harvested about a quart of fruits. They are really nice with a beautiful blush color, firm fruited and larger than other micro tomatoes. They also have exhibited antho on the tops that seems to disappear upon ripening.) April 9, 2023: Harvested (Squeezed about 75 fruits in a half gallon jar. Got a little over a quart of juice and seeds from it.) April 11, 2023: Harvested (Finished fermentation and got the seeds dried. Strange behavior with this variety in fermentation; the pulp all floated up during ferment leaving fairly clear water on the bottom. Stirring it up only keeps it together for a few minutes and the stuff floated again.) |
