Finally moved this gifted cutie to a extra large pot back in late spring. After I received lots of good advice regarding feeding, mine has been non-stop blooming since the end of Sept. What beautiful cheery yellow blooms that turn to an orange sherbet color with age. Icing on the cake? Incredible wafting nighttime fragrance: to my nose, a lily-like scent with citrus undertones.

Gorgeous evergreen shrub maintaining 95% of its beautiful variegated foliage throughout the year. No VA had 2 back-to-back difficult winters. This pretty girl lost a minimal amount of leaves, but other than that, did great. That amazing citrus/baby powder wafting fragrance is always a welcome scent toward winter's end, signifying spring will be coming. This has been a slow grower for me, possibly due to being in mostly shade beneath the dwarf magnolia. The slow growth has been a "plus" for me, though, as I have limited space.

Absolutely adore this shrub (more like a tree, though, size-wise). Its wafting lily-like scent fills the yard from July through Sept...sometimes early October. The hummingbirds and butterflies love the blooms. It does send up some suckers, but they're easy to recognize and can be pulled up with minimum effort if done so when young.

Say what you may...the fragrance of this plant is absolutely incredible...each and every spring!!!!
