Rare new as yet undescribed species of Ardisia from West Kalimantan, Indonesia and Borneo. Found at 1200-13500 ft as a range plant, can be terrestrial, epiphytic or lithophytic, growing in part to full shade along rivers, wetlands, premontane and montane rainforest. Requires warmth and high humidity.

Dypsis St. Lucie is only known from the St. Lucie forest on the South end of Madagascar. In 1995, it was reported that only 50 remained in an area that was set to be mined. This palm naturally occurs in white sand, its hallmark is its white crownshaft. Very slow growing.

I am fascinated by all of the gorgeous plants that you post. All of them are just beautiful is a totally different way than the plants that grow where I live.
