[ Amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'San Antonio Rose') | Posted on August 14, 2019 ]

'San Antonio Rose' traditionally blooms about 6 weeks later than my other Amaryllis.

[ Begonia 'Lady Vanderwilt' | Posted on March 6, 2019 ]

'Lady Vanderwilt' is similar to 'Sophie Cecile' but the entire plant is a bit larger and sturdier. It was described to me as a Sophie on steroids.

[ Bouvardia 'Flamingo Pink' | Posted on March 13, 2018 ]

This plant survived our unusually cold winter, snow ice and freezing temperatures, outside in a container with no protection. Although the top died back, it is coming back from the roots with impressive vigor.

[ Lord's Holly (Ilex rotunda) | Posted on July 29, 2017 ]

Commonly known as The Lord's Holly in the South.

[ Bouvardia 'Flamingo Pink' | Posted on May 17, 2017 ]

This is a new plant for me but I can already tell this one has a greater need for water than its cousin the Bouvardia ternifolia. I can find little information on the parentage for this hybrid.

[ Bromeliad (Neoregelia 'Zoe') | Posted on December 26, 2016 ]

I've had this plant for over 10 years and it continues to perform well for me. The color changes throughout the seasons but not always at the same time each year. The color is reddest at anthesis, the point when the plant is ready to flower. In my 9a climate the plant stays outside year round with a cover tossed over it only when the temp goes below 40.

[ Plumeria (Plumeria rubra 'Aztec Gold') | Posted on October 27, 2015 ]

I received 3 Y'd cuttings in late July, 2015 and stuck them August 1st. They rooted quickly in the warm weather and promptly set inflos. One plant has been blooming for about a month now and both of the other plants have inflos ready to open. They are a very cheerful color with a pleasant, not overpowering, fragrance.

[ Mexican Bush Sage (Salvia leucantha 'Danielle's Dream') | Posted on September 14, 2015 ]

I fell in love with the soft colors of this plant: the gray-green leaves and the velvety pink flowers. Like its relative, Salvia leucantha, it is easy to grow, doesn't need a lot of water or fertilizer, and attracts plenty of pollinators. Here in my southeastern coastal location it started to bloom in mid August.
