I love this coleus. I overwinter its cuttings in water on my windowsill in the kitchen. This is the third year. I've noticed it has not bloomed and it's already October. I see no sign of buds. It will be interesting if it survives another winter in my kitchen, but even more interesting to see if it ever blooms again. It's very full, very lush, and the hot dry summer has not bothered it. It's lovely when planted with mint green foliage beside it.
This is the third summer for this plant, I overwintered cuttings in water on my kitchen counter. It's a hardy lush summer container plant, and in spite of the hot dry weather, it does very well with minimal watering here in zone 6/7. I'm going to try for a fourth summer, I think it will be just fine.
Can't say enough good things about this plant, as well as Coleuses as a whole. We had a dry, droughty summer and I very rarely watered this plant. It did fine, even thrived. Coleus is a marvelous xeric plant.
Henna is one of my biggest, strongest growers, reaching over 30" this year in my zone 6 yard. Leaves show pretty contrast with green on top and red underneath. And give it plenty of room to spread. Sun tolerant.
Trailing rose is my most versatile, and probably most used coleus. It does well in full, hot sun or in shade. It is a hearty grower and seems impossible to kill even with abuse. It's lovely trailing out of a pot or hanging basket. Its bright rose color really "pops"!
This coleus can grow rather large, and the bright green color makes quite a statement. I've found it to be reliable in part shade in the garden and in containers. It makes a striking accent to many other colors of foliage and flowers. It has become a "must have" coleus for me. Easy to propagate from cuttings.
This has been a reliable performer in my zone 5 garden. It seems to do best in some shade, and although it's a steady grower it doesn't take over its space. I've grown it in mixed containers and in the garden with good results. Easy to propagate from cuttings.
