MrsBinWY | On April 9, 2022 | Plant emerged On 4-9-2022, 3 of the Seedling A pot of bulbils that have been sitting next to the house are up 0.5-1". |
MrsBinWY | On July 18, 2021 | Transplanted On 7-18-2021, planted all of these in the back side yard, along the fence between Hibiscus moscheutos and Verbesina alternifolia. 18-20 half-dollar-size bulbs, dozen or so more at the single-leaf stage (guess the seeds kept germinating). None of the 3 that bloomed so far (2 in 2020 and 1 in 2021 - don't know if was same as one of the 2020 blooms) bloomed like the species. Will probably have a strange mixed bed to sort out. |
MrsBinWY | On August 18, 2020 | Miscellaneous Event Three seedlings that didn't bloom produced bulbils. 8-10 bulbils of "seedling A;" 13 bulbils of "seedling B:;" and one bulbil of "seedling C." As of 11-26-20, they're pretty much all still growing, with one to three leaves. |
MrsBinWY | On January 9, 2019 | Seeds germinated 2 - These (plus a couple dozen more) grew until late fall 2019. Watered the container mid-December, or so, and they started coming back up the end of December. By late February or early March, it was obvious 1 was going to bloom. It developed 2 buds. As of 3-22-20, another plant is just beginning to show a single bud. |
MrsBinWY | On December 29, 2018 | Seeds sown lots of seeds from Dale's 2017G in milk jug @ room temp (These seeds are from her very tall lilies in the east bed under the poplars, later IDed on the Lily forum as L. leichtlinii.) |
