Harry Wheatcroft, sometimes sold as Caribia, is a fascinating rose to grow because it starts out yellow with orange stripes, after which the orange turns to bright magenta and then fades to pink. Its unique coloring makes up for all of its faults. It's a somewhat temperamental rose, not at all carefree. It's prone to black spot, it's vulnerable to intense sunlight, and it tends to stay small in my garden. It's a sport of Picadilly, which is even more temperamental, however, so I suppose it could be worse.
