The blooms of Welwyn Garden Glory, a 1996 Harkness hybrid tea also known as Welsh Gold™, have a bronze center and lighter outer petals that range from apricot to cream. The petals are reflexed, ruffled, and scalloped. In my garden it has been an exceptionally floriferous rose bush, covered with blooms in spring and summer. The rose has a strong spicy fragrance. Unfortunately, in spite of all these good characteristics, it has been increasingly difficult to find in commerce in the past decade.
