    Noted by Antique Rose Emporium:
"In our garden, Mme. Antoine Rebe blooms often with vivid single roses like big butterflies, in shades of dark pink, crimson and scarlet. The free blooming qualities as well as the chunky growth habit of the bush are indicative of its China parentage (Princesse de Saga.) In literature, its unique color has been described as "sparkling" with which we can concur."
