This rose has been popular ever since it came out in 1976. It's almost thornless, can take some shade, and blooms profusely and almost continuously. The canes are only pliable for a short time, so their training is necessarily a now-or-never process. The blooms are larger than average for a hybrid musk.

This rose is not happy in my garden, no doubt due to being planted in a much less than ideal spot. Therefore, it does not bloom very much for me. When it does, the flowers are lovely, a soft shade of off-white.

    Noted by Antique Rose Emporium:
"Large (3 1/2 inch) ivory-white, single roses that are borne in expansive clusters are the signature of this rose. The clusters are seen as either huge tightly packed clusters or as smaller, looser clusters. Either presentation on this densely glossy green bush of up to 8 feet is a show stopping experience for the passersby."

I have seen several Sally Holmes shrubs here locally, one garden had an entire row along a fence making a lovely hedge, especially in full bloom! I love the single blooms in large clusters and cute pretty pointed apricot buds. One branch is a whole bouquet for the house!
