So many beautiful colors, so seemingly little space ... then, how did I just manage to get DH to agree to give up some hapless scrabble-grass part of the lawn to more daylilies? Its even an area that lies blatantly outside of the formal fake-wood garden border trim (no chance to move it, will just have to plant fans directly into the yard.... Not even a hesitation from a guy who normally cannot stand changes or painting-outside-the-lines...) *surprised look!*
You guys are A-w-e-s-o-m-e enablers!!! I wouldn't have though to even try asking him if I hadn't heard of the practice here. LOL Thank you!
So, now that we have more space ... how about some outrageous ORANGES to brighten the day?!

Super colors! The color range that I saw when I searched the ATP database for "peach" was anything that was between yellow-pink-orange, so I think Peach would be welcome here, too. If you can point me to a cultivar, though, that you think is a benchmark for Peach, I'd be glad to make a separate post (if you think there would be enough peach to draw some recommendations?) ... Otherwise, the more the merrier in the Orangey-Peachy range!

Lyle the first picture of your orange seedling make me pucker, then my eyes started to water, it is just that citrusy-acidic gonna-be-yummy-but-with-a-kick color..... i predict it will be a huge hit when you release it
Cindy, you made me put peach magnolia on my list! Bonus: its a mid-late!

Thank you! And it's a big fat flat flower in the garden -- I almost feel like I'm looking at a dinner plate, or at least a salad plate! And the vibrant orange color is so yummy with that little eye ring and green throat...
Here's another picture of ORANGE BLOSSOM TRAIL taken more in the shade, and I think you can see a faint halo there. I don't even remember seeing the halo, to be honest -- I was just totally taken with the color!
Wow, Karin, your FLAMING FLAMINGO has really incredible color! I think that might be the one that Juli likes so much too. And FIRE OF HELL -- perfect name!
