This Kohleria variety is awesome, with big fuzzy speckled flowers and fuzzy leaves.

No, they are very easy. The seller said that I should ignore and it will survive just fine. I water it when the pot seems dry and give it fluorescent light as you would any other gesneriad. It flowers without stopping for months, and then goes into a rest period. Are you a fuzzy plant lover too?

Hi Joseph et al, I agree beautiful blooms!! I grow streps, and someone gave me this Sinningia (I think, I'm not at home so don't remember?? and unable to look at the label ) but its "crested" and they said, "these crested ones are very difficult to get to bloom!" I said "I love it just as a houseplant, I don't really care if it blooms or not" The other day I was watering, and noticed buds!! (after only 2 months!) :hurray:

Greg, I look forward to seeing a photo of the bloom of that lovely plant! It reminds me a Chirita 'Aiko' that I once grew: Chirita (Primulina 'Aiko')

Hi Gerris, Beautiful blooms indeed! You mention "big" ... flowers. Can you tell how big actually the flowers are? Thanks

The dimensions as I recall are maybe just under 3 inches long by maybe 1 inch wide on the face of the flower. Thanks, Fiat.

Thank you, Joseph. The size you described sure under "big" grade for this kind of plant, I think.

I believe that I have a "crested" variety... I did get it to bloom ONCE but then I re-potted and it's not popped since. I wish I would have gotten pictures but it was EARLY(three years ago) in my travels along the growing path. I still have the plant and it is LOVELY, the leaves are HUGE compared to my other two varieties. Do you have any images of your blooms?
