Sorry, I missed this yesterday. Ginger Swallowtail is a treasure in my zone 3 gardens - absolutely cold-hardy is a big plus in northern gardens and Ginger Swallowtail has held up through several of our winters (only in the gardens the past three years).
I agree with
@jkporter about the colouring, as well - I mean, how many 'red spider' daylilies do you need in the garden? But Ginger Swallowtail is not 'quite' red... but not quite 'brown' and not quite 'cinnamon'... That colour stands out. And I do say, she's tall - at least in the 42-inch range given in the stats. She stands out above most of the others nearby and competes well with coneflowers and other perennials.
In my gardens, I'm sure I get the bud count between 26 & 30, she just keeps cranking them out... and if you happen to be a hybridizer, Ginger Swallowtail will set good pods reliably. Add to all that, she happens to be fragrant. I love this one!
Rust and problem free, I would absolutely recommend you give this one a try.
