Daylily (Hemerocallis 'The Tribble with Blue')

I planted this in September 2020. In 2021, there was only 6 blooms from July 11-24. That was on three fans.

But this Spring, 2022, at four fans, The Tribble With Blue put out my earliest Daylily blooms, May 28- June 7, just 4 somewhat misshapen blooms. But starting July 10-29, it popped out 26 fantastic blooms with a lovely blue purple eye and good form.

This is a really short Daylily, good for the front of the bed. Based on this year, I'd say that it's a very solid Midseason performer. And I'm pleased that it added a fan over the winter, this was a pretty cold, dry winter here.

THE TRIBBLE WITH BLUE is certainly a front of the border daylily. It blooms early in my Zone 5 garden and reliable sends up rebloom scapes. It increases well and has never bloomed in the foliage. It responds well to being divided.

2023 update… TTWB bloomed from July 9- August 24 ( excellent) with over 42 blooms counted ( also excellent). By October, it was up to 6 fans , doubling itself from the Spring of 2022. This is a strong performer!
