I've never ordered from this rather new rose source that's near Chico, CA., but they just got in new bareroots and there might be something someone on the forum is looking for.
My Distant Drums has been a trouper these last few years. I put it in the ground and it almost died so I put it back in a pot. It's been in same pot and soil since and while no more than a foot tall it still blooms every year for me. Hoping all my roses will thrive at the other place. I'm thinking I might get some hollies for where the roses are now. Need something that loves crappy soil and can help the home value by growing quickly to hide trashy neighbor.
One they have left is James Galway. Does anyone have it and would you say it has "few thorns" like the Austin catalog says, and any other comments, positive or negative? It definite seems like it would not be suitable for a container, even a half wine barrel?
Moving slightly southeast a few miles to family property. It was my grandma's place and she has gardens all over the place. The whole place is 5 acres but the gardens are scattered over 2 acres roughly. So I will be filling in some areas and moving some gardens around so closer but limiting any expansions if that all makes sense. The big garden bed I'm thinking of surrounding with all my roses I have now and for now only looking to add Munstead Wood.
I'm also hoping I can find a mule to help with gardening because I really don't want to wheelbarrow that whole place!!!!
I ordered from Menagerie a couple years ago and the quality was superb!
I also ordered bare root and potted roses from a few other places that year too, for whom I will not say the same.

Thanks to you, now I have a new nursery added to my list of nurseries for ordering roses! I've been looking for black baccara for a while now, and they have it in stock! I ordered it
Does anyone have any experience growing Cinderella? It looks gorgeous but it's out of stock.
