Would it be possible to have an emoticon to say "thank you" ?

Oh, I like the idea of a "Thank You" badge!

Clicking on the "Thumbs up" icon (the little green thumb icon at the bottom of every post) is a nice way to say "Thank you"

Woofie, agreed, but I think of thumbs up as " like" or " I agree".
I was thinkin about a little sign such as the welcome one. (emoticon )

As for badges, don't they need to be paid for ?

Although having badges that stay with you WOULD be nice. but they could pile up very quickly for some of us.

The "hearts" emoticon is also a way to thank someone, as long as you don't give them the wrong idea.

I wonder if Dave has any way to perform a census, and determine how often each emoticon is used. I'm not sure I've ever seen the "glare" used. To me it suggests a smirk or a wiseguy "says YOU". The "angry" emoticon glares very fiercely.

I use the "glare" emoticon when I want to say "Can you believe that...happened? or was said?"

that having an icon dedicated to saying thanks is something we've needed for a long time.

I like the new and it is a idea, but if I see a dip in the population, well, I might just and that could cause newbies.

this emoticon conveys to me "It's been a pleasure" or " It's no skin off my back" or more generally "You're Welcome"; all of which is not the same as Thank You, so we needed the !
