I'm trying to help a friend ID this lovely rose. She's owned the house for 10 years and it came with the house. Must be hardy to survive that long in Ottawa. It's a small bush, not a climber. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.

It is indeed lovely! I'm sure the more knowledgeable folks here will have some ideas. I'll just admire it.

I don't know much about cold-weather roses, but Peace produces some blooms that look like that and it's hardy to zone 5. Do you know whether there's a lot of variation in the blooms?

Thanks Zuzu. I've been thinking possibly Peace as well and after I sent a link with a lot of Peace pictures, the owner thinks it may be correct. I've asked her about variation in the blooms.

I was gonna say looks just like my Peace.. and mine's one of the more hardier ones in the back yard.
