I planted this on Sept. 28th 2016, so nothing yet to report on. This is one of the plants I am really looking forward to seeing how it does this spring. By the stats, it will be over 40 inches tall, with huge 11.5 inch blooms. It has a bud count between 41-45 plus 6 way branching. I have fallen into the trap of being mesmerized by Stamile daylilies. They all seem to process the traits I am so envious of in daylilies. I have sort of overloaded on that one hybridizer lately, and am having to try very hard to pull myself toward more diversity. The true test will come over the next few years as I get to see how these plants actually perform in my garden. I am really getting excited about spring! If the Stamile plants perform well in the garden, there will certainly be more additions with those amazing stats.

I have had this one since July 2012, receiving it as a potted in-bloom double fan. Very attractive large bloom. Here in northern Ky it has 10-11" blooms on 38-40 scapes, 4-5 way branching and bud count around 30. I have not hybridized with it so I have no stats on fertility. I have divided it once since receiving it.

Love what you teach and teach what you love!

Azure Wings does very well here in my Z:5 garden. The blooms are very exotic.

I just planted AW in the garden in 2016. I got it as a gift from Homestead Farms when I placed an order. Three fans!! Hope it does well as it is an evergreen. Being its first growing year in my garden it did not get as tall as registered (of course) but it did bloom nicely. Beautiful flower! I can't wait to see it this year. As with Larry, I'm getting excited about seeing spring. However here in Wisconsin, on Groundhogs Day (Feb. 2nd), the darn old groundhog saw his shadow and said six more weeks of winter. Grrrrr Thumbs down Angry
