I grew it for a while. It is a pretty thing but I can't abide by a daylily that blooms right at the foliage, if not right down in its foliage.

One of my daughters chose this on a visit to Hello, Gorgeous Gardens outside of Lincoln. Bought it in July, picked it up in September and it settled in well. Can't wait to add more about it next spring.

I got Woman at the Well this spring from Karol Emmerich at Springwood Gardens to add to the prayer garden. She sends beautiful healthy plants and this one didn't disappoint. Beautiful blooms. I didn't notice them blooming in the foliage. Can't wait to see what it will do next summer Hurray!

Got it a few years ago, really took its time settling in. This past summer was its best bloom but not many flowers and yes short scapes. Can't really judge by its behaviour this year because a lot of my daylilies had abnormally short scapes with reduced flowering. Looking forward to seeing what it does next year.

We have it here in the public garden, it does have short scapes. I think the blooms are 'frumpy' but that is an opinion. Some may like that type of texture/look. Some dl that have similar coloring which I have grown and had great performance here are Two Part Harmony, Harvest Sky, Naughty Nadine Advent and Pumpkin Pie Spice.

I have had it for two years in its current location. I have read that it takes three years to settle in to really show its stuff. So far, I have not been impressed. It is in a great location. The blooms leave me feeling meh about it. It does bloom right at the top of the foliage. Bud count has not been all that impressive. Only time will tell. I hope to review it this summer.

I should add that where I have Woman at the Well located is at the front of the border where I wanted a shorter bloomer.

My daughter grows this one at her garden located about 20 minutes away from me. I remember when I saw the first bloom, my reaction was, 'I love that'. It bloomed for her the same season that it was purchased by mail order. I don't remember it being particularly short. I commented last summer on how pretty I thought it was, and luckily for me, it has clumped up enough in 2 years for her to offer me a piece. My daughter's garden soil is a heavier clay, which holds moisture, whereas mine is sandy and dry, so we will see how this cultivar performs in my garden.

I had Woman at the Well, it bloomed well & multiplied modestly well for 4 or 5 years, then got suddenly got crown rot & disappeared before I could rescue it. I loved the blooms that were always above the foliage here, but haven't replaced it yet.

I have Woman at the Well it did take a couple of years to settle in, it blooms above the foilage here, has multiplies moderately, my soil is heavier so it holds moisture longer. The first time I saw this daylily was in Karol Emmerich's greenhouse when I went to a hybridizing class there, it really caught my attention as it was different from many others at the time.
