I love these plants. They make cool little pops of color under green plants.

Those are gorgeous! I've only had plain green ones. You all are really hard on my budget! I keep putting new things on my wish lists.

The local HD's sell the 'red' aglaonemas at a reasonable price - between 11 and 15 dollars for a 6" pot.

If you wait until they forget to water them for a while they are even cheaper LOL. I am not usually a hybrid person, I tend to be more of a species person especially with stuff like anthurium, philodendron, and orchids but the hybrid varieties or some of the foliage plants are just too good to pass by. The species of plants like aglaonema and cissus are on the whole pretty green but man these breeders do proceed some wicked nice color combinations! My very old one that I have had for about 10 years, I THINK it was called Fruit Salad or Fruit cocktail when it was first introduced is in bloom now

They usually go on clearance after Christmas. I have several, at first I kept them in my porch, but after awhile they get scraggly, so I put them in the ground outside, surprised how well they do outside under other shrubs, no damage in temps down in the upper 20's.
I'll post some pic's later.

I am always looking for different varieties. I accidentally broke off a few stalks of one once when I was transferring it from the container to the ground...I stuck the broken pieces in Root One and poked them into the sand and they are growing new plants now. The old time ones, the green and white and silver ones that have been around forever, I have naturalized in no soil and they are growing hydroponically in my greenhouse pond and stream

Here are some of my Aglaonemas which are now in my garden and look better than they did on my porch. Excuse the leaves all over them.

Gina, it is my favorite also. The spots didn't look that pink when I bought it and didn't get much brighter in my FL room, but once I put it outside last summer it pinked up really nicely, gets good morning sun, then shaded in bright light. Would probably do very well in a greenhouse.

This is s pic of when I first bought it so you know what to look for.

Gina, my Lowe's had several kinds of Aglaonemas, some even on the clearance rack. I didn't see 'Pink Dalmation' but they had some pretty plants.

I accidentally broke the stem away from the root structure of my Chinese Evergreen (aglaonema). Is there any way to save it? Should I try rooting it in soil?

Aglaonema stem cuttings can root in water or in small pots filled with a porous potting mix. Shorten the stem so that there are only 2-3 inches of bare stem below the lowest leaves.

I have a cutting growing in a vase of water; it was broken off a plant a couple of months ago and it has grown some nice thick roots. I'm lazy and I have a few Aglaonema plants so I'm just leaving the cutting in the vase of water. Green Grin!
