Well, the pool pump and filter move is almost complete and that old heater has been hauled away.
And then the next day they exposed the old pipes, tapped into them and ran them around the corner to the new location.
This is the new setup on the side of the house:
My poor pool looks like it has been trashed: Note the blue tile around the top. It will be changed.
I gave all of our patio furniture to Habitat for Humanity. We bought the rattan in Indonesia some 22 years ago and it served us well. Have you priced new patio furniture lately? I think they are out of their minds.

Jim, Bravo for you! I have a Restore a couple of mi. from home, and didn't know what it was. My son informed me, so I went in to take a look. Unfortunately, I need the assembly instructions, so it didn't do much for me, but it is a very worthy donation.
Some progress today as several big guys showed up early with shovels and sledge hammers. As a result the concrete pad that was under the pool pump is gone along with my existing sidewalk. The forms for the new concrete are in place, the footers are dug, rebar in place and the pool pump is in it's new location and working. In addition, I dug a small pad for a rain barrel that will be poured at the same time as the big pour, perhaps tomorrow. I picked up a nice rain barrel at Sam's Club this afternoon. Poco a poco.

The tile guy is here putting the new tile around the top of the pool. The second picture shows what they will look like with the pavers. They are not the pavers we selected but just a sample he had in his truck to give us an idea.

Now, live from the scene, they are cutting through the existing concrete in order to put in new larger drainage channels. In the process, I think we have grounded all flights out of Tampa International. What a mess. The good news is that the county inspector was here and approved to concrete prep so the truck is on the way. We should be pouring the extension in a half hour or so. I'd put all of out initials in it but they are laying pavers over it tomorrow so no point. The pavers are to be delivered at 7:00 AM tomorrow.
