Hi I am Brad (Zone 10A) and new to the site...I just wanted to say "Hello" to everyone out there, and appreciate being a part Garden.org family...
I do Raised bed Vegetable Gardens as well as Containers...I have over 50 fruit trees and also am beginning to dabble in Flowers some now which I do mainly for the Butterflies, and for my Honey Bees...(not because they are beautiful), sorry, the Manly Man thing just came out...lol...
I am a Well Driller and in the Irrigation Business, so would be happy to help anyone with Well questions, or Controller Programming...Gardening seemed natural as I have seen the difference that my Wells and Sprinkler Systems have made for my Customers...
@BigBuckBrad! You have a lovely place with a lot of great plantings. You've come to the right place!
You're in a good business, too. We just had our well run almost dry, and had to have another one drilled. The first one was about 350 ft deep and this new one is 650. Between the two we now have enough water for the house and gardens.
Hate to hear that, a lot of people take for granted their Water, and don't realize just how precious it is in some areas of the country, like the Southwest...Fortunately, I am in Florida where Water in Plentiful and some Wells I drill produce 100s of gallons of Water per minute. Where I grew up in Montana we shared a Well with 2 other Ranches that only produced about 10 gallons per minute...we got our Irrigation Water from Irrigation ditches from seasonal runoff, and the River...
