I still get as excited as a child when I was in school studying the planets in class!
I was just outside as the deer were walking on the fallen leaves and its real cold for us
in the lower twenties ...but clear skies! I hope I can get the eclipse later tonight
with just using my bridge camera on auto focus as I did the super moon just now
hope all of you got to see this awesome super moon and total eclipse.

Looking forward to see all the wonderful photos Thumbs up ....If it were warmer I would attempt a shot but it will be below zero here
As it is my front door is blocked , had to bring my old goat inside tonight, she may not be able to survive sub-zero weather. she is staying in the entrance way because it is tile and cleanable.
..a balanced life is worth pursuit.

Garden Gus bless your heart I would bring anything in side tonight that I could..
Your goat is blessed to have you...
No way I would leave an animal outside
if I ha d to it would be with heat lamps and blankets and hay and shelter...

This is all I could get with a bridge on auto focus
I am shaking I am so cold...I went out at 15 minute intervals
and took pictures...
Wish I could have gotten the eclipse as red as it was it was just un real
hanging there and the craters with the naked eye were just so defined
I did not need the camera to see it all well . I just wanted to take the pics to
email them to friends..

the total red eclipse was just too beautiful to describe and I could not capture it
with a great photo of it

Thanks to all that post a reply.. see photos below in next post

We didn't get the blood moon down here but it was a pretty moon this morning at 6am.

I was able to easily see the eclipse which is surprising because I live in a neighborhood with lots of trees and streetlights. Luckily the moon was almost directly overhead. I bundled up and went outside several times to see the progress. But I was disappointed that it wasn't red or even reddish. Maybe I needed a telescope?

It was chilly (-9) but went outside, it looked like an orange Necco wafer.

Have you seen the latest news? During that eclipse a meteor hit the moon and many people saw it, recorded it.

Cool. Good catch. I thought the eclipse wasn't going to visible in Europe, just mostly in the Americas and maybe further west but don't trust my memory.

So anyway, thanks for sharing the link.
