Thread OP

Hi all,

I am a newbie in growing plumerias .. I ordered 4 unrooted stems from Hawaii early this month and its been in soil for a little over 2 weeks and I don't see any signs of growth yet.I live in SE Michigan and its sitting on my south facing window. How long does the plumeria take to root.? How to identify any signs of rooting? I see few tip still moist but few tips little black and no leaves/further growth... Is there something i need to do or I am doing wrong. Also I haven't watered since I planted. The soil kind of looks very dry.

Welcome! Krithiga
You are doing the right thing. Do not water (mist the sticks a little if they start to get dehydrated) and supply warmth on the bottom (place the pot in a warm place which it sounds like you are doing in a south facing window).
The plumeria are still dormant at this time of year so it will take a little longer. Do not disturb the cuttings to check them. You will know that roots are forming when the leaves are starting to grow. Be patient!!
