I ordered 10 Tenby daffodils for this year. They are smaller (about 8 inches tall) and less showy than most daffs. They are the national emblem of Wales. My pic is not all that great since they are planted on a slope & I had to balance myself to take it but if you want to see better pics go to daffseek .org & type in N. obvallaris in the query box. Fingers crossed that they will return next year.

I bought a daffodil mix from Costco last fall and planted the bulbs. I forget where some of them are planted and sometimes accidentally step on the little growths peeping out underneath the dead tree leaves. I only stepped on 3 so far. I'm jealous of my northern neighbor's daffodils some have already made flower buds. Mine will eventually get there soon enough. Probably in late April to May.
