Hey guys,

I am in NJ zone 7. I was wondering when the best time was to get plants for spring. I am kind of new to gardening, I started last year, but waited to long to get my garden started. What is the best time to start plants like ground covers and perennials. I know the last frost is sometime in May, but I waited to long last year and was way behind. Any suggestions.

Oh sorry I am a slacker .. I am zone 6 .. and I say it's really 5 .. but mother's day is always a good sign we are through it all .. it does change from year to year .. just have to keep an eye on the temperatures

Watching the weather. But could be early May. I have plant/flower/herbs seedling growing in my windows. It's combating my spring fever. Raining for two days, hopefully stops today. I've been digging out all the wild onion bunches that are popping through. Do what you can.

Playing inside helps me too .. looking forward to it
