I am now starting the 14th Daylily of the Day poll ....

Once again, I would like members to please pick cultivars that they OWN, that ALSO list several other owners (at "least" 2 members that also have the cultivar) as "have" in the database so that more members here on NGA can post their evaluations. The more members that own a plant, the better (to have numerous evaluations). Please also make sure that you post the correct name and spelling of the cultivars you list. You can list up to 20 cultivars that you actually own and are willing to post an evaluation for when the cultivar is featured as the Daylily of the Day.

List your 20 (or less) cultivars with just the full cultivar name only!

And don't forget that you can post an evaluation at any time to any of the Daylily of the Day threads. An acorn will be awarded for each evaluation. You can post "annual" evaluations of any cultivars at least a year after your previous evaluation of that cultivar. (And earn another acorn tip!) Previous featured Daylilies of the Day cultivar threads can be found in this forum. They are listed in alphabetical order:

Of the above, I've made positive ID on End of the Day and On the Web. The others did not bloom last summer.

I realize that many people may find it difficult to post a list that has at least 2 other owners listed in the Plant Database, so ....

If you have the plant, feel free to include it on your list (whether others have it or not)! Remember, I give out an acorn for each evaluation!!! The NARR (Not-A-Raffle-Raffle) may be starting up soon. Those acorns add up doing evaluations!!!

Or if folks here don't want to continue the "Daylily of the Day" feature, I will consider ending it.

But I do want to say that I use the Daylily of the Day evaluations every time I am considering adding a cultivar to my garden. I find the evaluations extremely helpful, in light of the fact that there are over 80,000 registered and named cultivars out there to choose from. And the more people that add to a cultivar's evaluation, the better!

Don't forget .... you can go back annually to add another evaluation to any cultivar and I give an acorn for each evaluation whether it's your first evaluation for that cultivar or additional annual evaluations. This is the link for previously featured cultivars in alphabetical order:

Thanks that helps a lot. I know people have reasons for not showing they have a plant, but so many people do not show ownership on site of the plants they have it has made it very difficult to find plants that are shown to be owned even by just two people.

I am also glad you changed the rules! When I am checking on daylilies if there are no evaluations, I check how many photos there are of it. A lot of photos suggests to me that it is popular. A few have no photos though, such as Donna Jack. When I received it as a gift I thought perhaps it was not good, but has proved to be a really good plant.

For some reason my daylilies were not showing up as owning them (again). This happened once before and we came up with the solution: The ones that didn't show were tagged as "want"...after purchasing them I forgot to change them to "have".

Soooo, I did a little research and found that I had two of my Categories marked as "private".
I have a Daylily category (marked as public view).
I also split the SAME DL's into DIPS and TETS categories (and marked both of these a private view).

In order for my name to be listed as owning, I had to go in and mark my DIP and TET categories as public view.

Just an FYI. Maybe others have done the same. If so there may be more members owning a particular DL than appears.
