I have a chartreuse with cream "throat" orchid that for some reason a pair of air roots and leaves have grown out from a blooming branch. Am not an expert in this field of flowers but, I do have a green thumb. I don't know what am supposed to do. I am thinking that sooner or later, it needs to be separated from that branch. Could you let me know what I need to do about this? I don't have a picture because am sending this through a tablet that does not have a way to attach pictures. Thank you.
Name: Big Bill Livonia Michigan (Zone 6a) If you need to relax, grow plants!!
It sounds like a Phalaenopsis but I can't say with 100% certainty.
But regardless of type, it can be removed and potted up on its own when it develops at least three, 3" roots.
Can you accurately relay what it says on the name tag? That would help.

As long as the stem the "keiki" is on stays green, you can just let it grow.
