Why do you want to replace your Tanaka? Technical problems? Not enough grunt? Why replace it with a Ryobi which is most likely about the same thing?

Also remember the labels "commercial grade" and "professional grade" get thrown around a lot these days but mean very little unless closely tied to a large price tag. Look at how much a Shindaiwa B410/510 to see how much proper professional tool costs nowadays. Smiling

I've just seen the edit. Smiling

Again... what's the problem? Technical or lack of power for the job?
And what's most important: if a replacement is needed what is your budget?

I would go with a Husqy or Echo.

We've always been happy with Echo. Have had 2 Echo String trimmers in 35 years for home use. Gas powered. Starts with the second pull. Non-advancing string , but the kind that you cut and feed the pieces through. No tangling. And we use as thick of a line as we can get.

Put a Diatop trimmer head on it. That's what Yamabiko (Echo/Shindaiwa) uses nowadays and they are made by the same company that manufactures Sugihara chainsaw bars.
