I've been reading about it and it is definitely not in a moist area. Adapted, I suppose. Its in a meadow that I've used sprinklers on once a week for 3 weeks. No rain. I seeded that area with other wildflowers and grasses but this one was not in the mix.

And the deer have left it alone, so I'm transplanting some to keep an eye on. I fully expect them to eat most anything else that comes up.

Yes, your little flower is Blue-Eyed Grass. They self-seed and pop up in random places in the spring, eventually forming nice clumps. Sadly, the ones on my property don't tend to flower for very long, so I enjoy them while they're here. Hope yours will continue to spread!
