Minks are really smart creatures. I live near Lake Dardanelle, which is formed by the Arkansas river. I fish a lot (see profile name), and I used to see several pairs in my favorite fishing spots. They are bold, inquisitive little creatures, and always seem to be interested in what humans are doing. One spring I was fishing for bluegill and one kept running back and forth in front of me, getting bolder with each pass. I swear that little mink knew what I was doing. I caught another fish, a small one and not a keeper, so I laid it on the rocks a little ways in front of me. The min warily approached, snatched the fish, and scampered down the bank a ways, making a high pitched chittering as she ran. Three little heads popped out of hole in the rocks; a momma feeding her children! Hurray! Hurray!
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.

How cool is that?!! Thanks for sharing the photos! I haven't seen a live mink since I was a small child in Michigan and we took a vacation into Canada on a river.

I trapped a few mink when I was a kid many years ago. Yes they are beautiful, and yes they are smart. Thanks for the photos.
Maybe it takes a long time to grow, but remember that if nobody plants it, nobody has it.
