I have a friend who I'm helping landscape and develop his property.

Currently he has an 5th wheel on the property with a generator. He's planning on connecting electric and possibly water either city water or digging a well.

In the meantime were clearing tall sticker bushes, weeds and Scott Broom (1+ inch diameter)

For clearing the sticker bushes and tall weeds we're using a walk behind string trimmer.

The string trimmer he recently purchased is a used Ariens ST622 946501 String Trimmer

We are looking for some string for the string trimmer and it's user manual shows

Replacement string

Length 18 inches
Diameter - 5/32 (0.40) inch

I'm unable to find any 5/32 (0.40) diameter string.

It can use thinner string but we're looking for the strongest string available that won't easily break in order to cut the thickest brush as possible.

If you can't find the string for it, can that model accept a brush cutter blade? Ours uses either string or a blade, and the blade is by far best for tough brush.

I have a Southland brand field trimmer & get the string from farm supply stores. Wal-mart may carry it but I try to avoid going there.
