Hi,
I made a rookie mistake...bought a beautiful clematis mayleen (pruning group 1) before checking to see how big it gets. 20 to 30'!! Sounds like it can swallow a house! Anyone know if I can keep this smaller by pruning to the ground after flowering every other year? I have about 10 feet of vertical space for it...otherwise it's gonna end up a very pretty gift for someone with more space :(
Thanks! Sighing!
