Would it be possible to keep Asian pear trees in large containers? I have two six-foot Asian pears currently looking for a permanent home in my still-developing garden and don't know exactly where they should go, so I was thinking of putting them in two large containers for the next year (or more?) until I find a perfect place.

I have mine in containers. In fact I have lots of fruit trees in containers this year.
But I plant mine in a slope, it didn't do well, I only got one tiny fruit, so I moved it to the container. It seems to be doing better than before.

Yes they do will in organic potting soil with large containers. Every year, I take mine out of the large containers and knock off all of last years potting soil off the roots. Then I transplant into fresh soil and put in a sunny place. The only problem i have, is some of my plants grow so large that I have problems moving them around.
NOT A EXPERT! Just a grow worm! I never met a plant I didn’t love.✌
