HELP !!!!

Just noticed this while I was outside, don't know why this is happening. The bigger tree is about 5 years old.

Could be cold, could be sunburn. Sometimes these things just happen. I would make sure that the rot doesn't travel, and if it looks like it does, then cut the branch and re-root. Sorry you are having this problem.... Crying
